Quick Question

Yoga and the Portuguese ioga look like the same word — but there's a formal difference. Yoga, with a y, stays closest to the Sanskrit and is the form used internationally; ioga, with an i, is the Portuguese-language adaptation found in dictionaries. Neither is wrong.

A detail that helps: in Sanskrit the "o" in yoga is always closed, like the o in "go" — "Yoh-ga", not "yoh-guh".
