Events & Activities
Yoga is a daily practice — but some moments ask for more room.
A weekend retreat away from the noise. A workshop to go deeper into one technique. A celebration that ties us to a tradition thousands of years old. These gatherings break the routine and return us to daily practice with fresh breath.
On this page you'll find what's happening at Āshram Gaya — dates, times and bookings. Some of these moments only make sense lived together.

Sūrya Chandra — Yoga and Sūrya Yantra
Reflecting on this great event: the distance from the Earth to the Sun is roughly 108 times the Sun's diameter — just as the distance from the Earth to the Moon is about 108 times the Moon's diameter. That is why meditation japa mālā have 108 beads.
Haṭha (Yoga) means balance: Ha — sun, active energy (Piṅgalā); Ṭha — moon, receptive energy (Iḍā). You can take this practice further in our Yoga for Adults classes.
These moments are auspicious — deep experiences that let us take one more step in our Sādhanā. Learn more about our approach to Yoga.
